By downloading, installing, or using the Ride Timer mobile application ("App") or visiting ridetimer.com ("Site"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree, please do not use the App or Site.
Ride Timer is a ride-tracking tool designed for gig-economy drivers using platforms such as Uber, Bolt, Heetch, and FreeNow. The App allows you to:
The App is provided free of charge and is available on Android. An iOS release may follow in the future.
You must be at least 18 years old and hold a valid driver's licence in your jurisdiction to use Ride Timer. By using the App you confirm you meet these requirements.
Certain features (such as cloud sync and the admin dashboard) require you to create an account using Google Sign-In via Firebase Authentication. You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at contact@ridetimer.com if you suspect unauthorised access.
You agree not to:
Ride data you enter (times, fares, locations) belongs to you. We do not sell it to third parties. Data is stored locally on your device using an encrypted database and, when you enable sync, in Google Firebase. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
The App uses Google Firebase (Authentication and Firestore) and Google's reverse-geocoding services. Your use of the App is therefore also subject to Google's Terms of Service. Ride Timer is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or an official partner of Uber, Bolt, Heetch, or FreeNow.
All code, design, trademarks, logos, and content within the App and Site are owned by or licensed to Ride Timer. Nothing in these Terms grants you a licence to use our branding or intellectual property other than as strictly necessary to use the service.
The App and Site are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that earnings data will be accurate for tax or legal purposes. Use the App as a personal productivity tool only.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Ride Timer and its developers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your use of, or inability to use, the App or Site โ including loss of revenue, data, or goodwill โ even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Our total liability to you for any claim arising under these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid to use the App (which, as the App is free, means our liability is zero unless otherwise required by law).
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the App or Site at any time without notice. We will not be liable to you or any third party for such changes.
We may update these Terms at any time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App or Site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be submitted to the jurisdiction of the courts competent for the registered location of the service operator.
If you have questions about these Terms, please contact us at contact@ridetimer.com.
